Sometimes,while watching a foreign movie with English subtitle (or reading a translated book),
i wonder- What if the translations are the complete opposite of what the characters are actually saying?

I was watching a French film and I seriously doubted its translation:-)

ReplyDeleteThat happens in Portugal with the portuguese subtitles sometimes being completely absurd and i feel grateful that i understand english and french and don't have to 'buy' the bad translator's version of it :O
